Salt form on Epitalon
TFA is the default out of synthesis and it is not inert in cell work. If you need a limit, state it before the order — it is a purification decision, not a label.
Peptide range · Longevity & mitochondrial
A deliberately short range — four items we will defend line by line, rather than a long list of things that sound similar.
Overview
Four products: Epitalon (the AEDG tetrapeptide) and its N-acetylated form, MOTS-c, and SS-31 (elamipretide). Each has a different mechanism and a different analytical story, and none of them is a commodity.
Epitalon is supplied as the TFA salt by default, because that is what solid-phase synthesis gives; if residual TFA matters for your work, say so and we will quote the salt-free or acetate form. MOTS-c is a 16-residue mitochondrial-derived peptide and considerably harder to make than its price on some marketplaces suggests. SS-31 is a cell-penetrating tetrapeptide that partitions into the inner mitochondrial membrane — related in topic to MOTS-c, unrelated in sequence.
Catalogue
Every item below is a separate code with its own specification. Where a product exists in several salt forms, each form is listed and priced separately.
Specification
Three things decide whether two quotations for the “same” peptide are actually the same material.
TFA is the default out of synthesis and it is not inert in cell work. If you need a limit, state it before the order — it is a purification decision, not a label.
MOTS-c and SS-31 are both mitochondrial and that is where the similarity ends. Different sequences, different targets, different prices.
A 98% HPLC result on a lyophilised peptide can still be 80% peptide by mass. For anything dosed by molarity, ask for net peptide content.
